Astro food service, Inc. is a family owned corporation and has been in business for over 20 Years. The Business is owned by Harold Arutunian who has owned several other business’s in the food Industry going back to the 1950’s including Redi-Spuds, a large french fry manufacturer with plants located in Hawthorne, California and Glenns Ferry, Idaho. In 1985 Astro Food Service, Inc. was opened and was located in the 11th street Produce Market for 19 years. During this time Astro strived not to be the largest, but to be the most service orientated wholesaler of various food products in the Los Angeles Produce Market. In 2005 Astro moved to its current location which is twice the size as our original store. Here we built new freezers and processing rooms to accomadate our growing business. With the current facility we are able to store a much larger inventory and accomadate our customers more efficiently by offering them among other things a large assortment of in stock items as well as an easy to get in and out of alternative to the congested Los Angeles Wholesale Produce Market. In addition, we offer our customers quality products, reasonable prices, and unusually personal service which helps them use their precious time taking care of their customers, rather then worrying about the purchasing aspect of their businesses. Our success is directly related to the loyalty we have xperienced from our customers, and as a result we feel a strong sense of obligation to provide the best service possible in appreciation of that loyalty.
